» S6 Awards Ceremony
Congratulations to all the S6 pupils who received awards last night. Including Gemma Homewood who won the Community Quaich and Katie Worton who won Excellence in the Arts.

» New Headteacher
Beeslack are pleased to announce that Lynn Black has been appointed to the position of Headteacher at Beeslack Community High School. Lynn is currently Depute Headteacher at Grangemouth High School and we are delighted that she is joining Beeslack when the school returns in August.

» Well done to Lia Tweedie and Chelsea Cornet who have both been selected to represent Scotland in the Under 18 Girls Football International against Australia on Friday 30th January.

» Beeslack donated 51 boxes of food (one more than last year!) to the Edinburgh Basics Bank and Bethany Trust.
» Beeslack donated £500 to UNICEF UK towards the Ebola crisis from the school charitable collections.

June 2014

» Congratulations to Emma Eales for winning the National Final of the Cracking Ideas design competition organised by the Intellectual Property Office. Beeslack has now won this event in two out of the last three years.

» The the consultation report on the proposed changes to the catchment areas of the non-denominational primary schools in Penicuik can be downloaded from here.

» Midlothian Council are currently consulting on proposed changes to the catchment areas of the non-denominational primary schools in Penicuik. The consultation period will run for six weeks from 21 February to 4 April 2014.
